They don't know what they should look like in five years, and they won't think deeply, because they are very tired. At least the current job can make the year quite stable. As for the next year, they didn't even think about it. They always think that young people should enjoy their time, so that they will not live up to their great years. Even if they encounter problems, they always say: Don't worry about it now. Let's talk about it later.

I once met a 35-year-old man who has been working for 12 years and has a wife and children. The only thing he does not have is a stable job. In the past 12 years, I have changed my job on average in less than one year. Now that I am older, my family has a lot of responsibilities. I want to find a job that has been stable for a long time, but I find it very difficult. I asked him why he didn't think about it earlier? He said that at that time, when he was young and had no knowledge, he realized it now, but found it difficult, and deeply regretted that he had not made any plans earlier.

  • Error 2: Some things have to be known before they are experienced.

Some may learn from others' experiences and lessons with an open mind, for fear that they may go wrong. Some may say that they must make some mistakes and encounter some setbacks in person to stay awake. These people seem very powerful on the surface and are willing to temper themselves and grow themselves in difficulty, but in fact they are subconsciously deliberately avoiding the mistakes they are experiencing and making, in addition, we are reluctant to admit and change the current reality. This kind of person is just for his own use, and he is willing to do his/her own work. He cannot hear the opinions of others. He will often keep up with others on the way forward.

Indeed, experiencing difficulties and setbacks will make a person grow. But not all the difficulties and setbacks you have to go through. What can be avoided reasonably in advance? Why do you have to try it yourself? No coffin, no tears. When you see the coffin, it will not help to drop more tears.

For young people, "trial and error" is actually the most stupid method. Even if you think you are still young, you still have a chance, but in fact time is not as much as you think. Take working in Beijing as an example. Assume that you are 23 years old and want to buy a house and get married at the age of 30. The House should not be good, but in Beijing, it should be at least 1 million. This is already the most conservative estimate of soaring house prices. The first payment is 0.2 million, the decoration is 20 thousand, the home appliance is 20 thousand, the marriage is 30 thousand, and the remaining funds are 30 thousand, which requires 0.3 million in total. If you have an annual salary of 0.1 million RMB, excluding rent, living expenses, telephone charges, social payments, and other expenses, and a deposit of 70 thousand RMB per year, you need at least four years. However, it is impossible for new employees to earn a monthly salary of 0.1 million without three years of experience. In this case, even if you don't take a detour, from graduation to getting married, you have to run as fast as a tight spring, and you are not allowed to do nothing or make a detour at all. If you accidentally make a slight deviation and take a detour for one or two years (for many people, this is even more normal), then for you, once you buy a house, you will be on the verge of bankruptcy.

  • Error 3: When I encounter a problem, just make a career plan.

Many people think of career planning only when they really don't have hope. Just like the example listed in the first error above. But what I want to tell you is: career planning is not a life-saving means when you are nowhere else!

The core of a successful career plan is to help you locate your career direction and build your core competitiveness in this direction to ensure that you can grow smoothly in this direction. These two points are indispensable. If you just look for a direction without considering the possibility of implementing this direction in real work, then such planning has no significance. To ensure the possibility of career realization, we must consider the influence of external objective factors. Family stress, age gap, mental imbalance caused by poor work ...... And so on, will affect the best implementation effect of career planning. Just like a doctor seeing a doctor, if you are already ill, then a brilliant doctor may not be able to recover.

For students at school, they should establish their own direction before their junior year, and then use the time remaining to build their own knowledge system. After graduation, they can find a job suitable for themselves; for those who have already worked, setting their own direction within three years of work may still lead to success despite the loss and cost. If the job is unstable for three or more years, career planning is much more difficult at this time, not just because you have to bear more losses and pay more opportunity costs, at the same time, the severe mental imbalance caused by unstable work is the biggest obstacle to your career growth. Take an average two-year detour as an example. After two years, you may be on the starting line with others. This means that your previous work is basically a waste. If your monthly salary is 2500, your direct material loss in two years is 60 thousand. This loss is at least 60-times the investment in your career planning (if you plan your career early, the maximum investment is your 1-2 weeks salary ). There are still two years of growth opportunities that you may lose at the same time. This time will never be able to make up. At the same time, your mentality will become very negative and you cannot actively face new jobs. This loss cannot be estimated. More importantly, once you get used to confusion or job-hopping, the loss will be more than 200 times the investment in career planning!

Many people who have been working for many years but still have no direction will come to us for consultation.   • Error 4: Use personality evaluation as a career plan

I once chatted with a college student and asked him if he had any career plans. He said he had done it. I asked you what your career goal is and how to achieve it. He said no. I am wondering, I said you have already made a career plan? Why don't you know these questions? Then he sent me a bunch of materials. I saw all the various evaluation reports. I asked him where the reports were made, and he said they were on the school website. Can you understand the results of these reports? He said he couldn't understand it.

In the process of career planning and consulting, this situation occurs more than once, especially in the college students. Every time I encounter this situation, my heart is very tangled. Their understanding of career planning is only at the evaluation level, and they do not know what these evaluations mean to them, nor how they can be used to guide their future career development.

I once served as a judge at a career planning competition in a university in Beijing. They also know to analyze their own results based on the evaluation results, but most of the planned career directions are based on "professional counterparts", which has almost no relationship with the evaluation results. Although colleges and universities have already opened career planning courses, according to the actual situation I have learned: almost no one listens carefully to these courses at ordinary times, but only takes a spot attack during the examination, credits. I asked them, these courses will be of great help to your future employment and growth. Why not listen carefully? The answer is as follows: the teachers who took this course are all about the subject and do not know what the real workplace looks like, not to mention effectively guiding and operating the theories in the book in the real workplace. This course has become completely a decoration. As a result, the confusion is still confused, and the confusion is still confused.

Because the career planning that everyone in college is exposed to is only a variety of evaluation tools, it is assumed that the career planning and personality evaluation are equivalent. From an objective point of view, many people lack experience in the workplace, social experience, and thinking analysis ability (for college students and new employees, this problem is even more obvious), and the evaluation results are not understood at all. At the same time, this kind of evaluation planning is also theoretically serious. Here, we need to remind you that personality evaluation is less than career planning. Many people think that their character evaluation is equivalent to career planning. When specific planning is involved, a comprehensive consideration should be made based on your career vision, strengths and expertise, professional skills, growth experiences, career values, political factors, economic factors, social factors, and other situations, to draw a specific conclusion. This requires the consultant to understand your situation before making a judgment, rather than relying solely on the results of the evaluation tool.   • Error 5: only set the direction and do not know the implementation path

  • Error 6: no opinion, depending heavily on people around you

Because we all say that the stability of state-owned enterprises is good. Why don't you want to change yourself? Because people around you are in the same status as you!

Many people also have their own ideas, but once their ideas are opposed or questioned by people around them, their ideas will be quickly dispelled. Once a customer asked me, he said his family wanted him to be a teacher, but he asked people around him, some people said it was good to be a teacher, some people say that when a teacher has no future, it is better to enter the Enterprise. He is also confused and does not know whether to become a teacher.

Everyone's values are different. Therefore, when you ask for others' opinions, they only think about problems based on their own values, rather than standing on your own. Therefore, whether others' opinions are suitable for you depends on your own thoughts. In the same example, people who like stability will certainly say that being a teacher is a good choice, while those who like challenge will certainly say that being a teacher has no future.

Everyone has 250 friends. They appear on two occasions, one for your wedding, the other for funeral, and the other for 80% of these friends are not helpful to you, they usually don't give you positive and positive influences. When you desire to do anything, they usually pour cold water on you to tell you all kinds of disadvantages and various possible failures. There are 20% of friends who are more active and will have a positive impact on you, and only 5% of them will help you and change your life! Therefore, you should not treat your friends equally. You should spend 80% of your time with those friends who will significantly affect your life.

Only you are responsible for how you go. Those who once gave you suggestions do not have to take any responsibility for the original suggestions even if they prove that their suggestions are wrong after several years. You must understand that your path is in your own hands!

  • Error 7: the plan cannot keep up with the changes.

Many people will say that the world is changing, and it is better to stay calm than to make a deliberate plan. It seems that the people who say this are "chic", but once the problem comes to your eyes, I am afraid you will not be able to "secure. First, if you do not have a "root", you will always be able to move around, and you will never be able to live well.   • Error 8: Higher education means more development opportunities

Will highly educated people have a better development space? Not necessarily! Among all the consulting clients I have been dealing with, undergraduate students are the most dynamic. Those graduate students do not even have the most basic sense of competition. Many people are confused about "being" for postgraduate entrance exams. They do not know what the true purpose of the postgraduate entrance exam is or even have never thought about this question. Another large number of people were unable to get their favorite majors and were transferred to areas they didn't like. Only 24% of students who have clearly defined their postgraduate goals and are part of their career plans and actively put into action. A customer I recently consulted will enjoy better development if he does not take an postgraduate entrance exam. The loss of the two-year detour caused by unclear objectives is 180 times the investment in career planning!

Not all positions require highly educated personnel. These so-called highly educated talents do not actually match their academic qualifications. When more and more enterprises are considering pragmatic employment costs, high education may not be valued.

Your academic qualifications cannot guarantee your success. It's just a piece of paper. What really makes you succeed is whether you have actually learned it. If not, I'm sorry, all companies are not charity organizations.

  • Error 9: The State units are relatively stable and the development is secure

The vast majority of people will have such knowledge. I once met a customer who was born from XXX (three words are omitted here. it is inconvenient to say that everyone is willing to attend the meeting). After ten years of work, I had a hard time improving my boss and encountered a promotion opportunity.   • Error 10: It is too difficult to succeed in this society.
