The Tenda wireless Router Setup process can represent almost all routers because the steps are similar:
Tenda Wireless router settings: Installing connections to hardware devices
The WAN port, as shown in the following figure, is connected to a broadband feed, LAN port to a computer within the LAN.
The diagram below is a complete topology of the wireless network structure
Tenda Wireless router settings: How to log on to the router
1. Set the IP address of the connected computer.
Right-click on "My Network Neighborhood"-"properties" (pictured below)
Right-click on "Local Area Connection"-"properties" (pictured below)
Select Internet Protocol TCP/IP--"Properties"
Click to select "Automatically obtain IP address" and "Automatically obtain DNS server address". OK, then click "OK" button
Of course we can also set the manual IP address (as shown below)
IP Address: 192.168.0.XXX: (XXX is 2~254)
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS server: You can fill in your local DNS server address (you can consult your ISP vendor) or the router as the DNS proxy server.
2. Login router.
Open IE browser, enter the router's default IP address (192.168.0.1) and return (as shown below)
In the pop-up login window, enter Username: admin Password: admin; then click OK. (pictured below)
If you enter the correct username and password, the browser will go to the main page of administrator mode. (pictured below)

Tenda Wireless router settings: Setting up a wireless connection
1. Wireless basic settings.
Click on the wireless settings on the left-wireless basic settings (pictured below)
Enable Wireless features: "Check" after the wireless enabled, if you do not want to use wireless, you can deselect, all wireless-related features will be prohibited;
Network mode: Select one of the modes according to the wireless client type. (usually choose the default blending mode if you don't know)
SSID: Service collection identifier, network name of wireless signal, modifiable, SSID is required.
Broadcast (SSID): Select "Off" to prohibit the router from broadcasting the SSID, and the wireless client will not be able to scan to the router's SSID. When you select Close, the client must know the router's SSID to communicate with the router, and the default is on.
Channel: The channel currently used by the router, from the Drop-down list, you can choose another valid working channel, which can be selected between 1-13.
2. Wireless security settings.
Click on the left wireless setting-Wireless security settings (pictured below). Describes the three most commonly used encryption methods, including MIXEDWEP encryption, wpa-individuals, wpa2-individuals, and so on.
Select SSID: Select the SSID you want to set, and secure encryption settings for both the primary SSID and the secondary SSID, respectively.
Safe Mode: You can select the appropriate security encryption mode from the list, this router supports MIXEDWEP encryption, wpa-individuals, wpa2-individuals. Generally we recommend the choice of wpa2-individuals can effectively prevent from being rubbed against the network to crack the password.
WPA encryption rules: There are TKIP, AES, Tkip&aes. AES is recommended for use.
Key: Please enter the encrypted string you want to use and the valid characters are ASCII characters. The length is 8 to 63.
3. Wireless advanced settings.
Click on the left wireless settings-Wireless advanced settings (pictured below). If you do not know the advanced option, it is recommended to use the default.
BG Protection mode: facilitates slower 11b/g wireless clients to connect to 11n wireless networks in complex and multiple modes, by default, "Automatic".
Basic Data rate: Adjust the wireless basic transmission rate according to actual needs. The default value is 1-2-5.5-11mbps. It is recommended that you do not change the default values.
Beacon interval: Set the AP send Beacon packet frequency, generally speaking, the smaller the time, the faster the wireless client access, the more time settings, to help wireless network data transmission efficiency, the default value of 100, we recommend that you do not change the default value.
Fragment threshold: Set a fragment threshold, once the wireless packets exceed this threshold to divide it into fragments, fragment size and fragmentation threshold, the default value is 2346, it is recommended not to change the default value.
RTS Threshold: RTS (Requesttosend), when the packet size exceeds this threshold value, use the cts/rts mechanism to reduce the likelihood of conflict. In the presence of interference with long-distance client access, you can set a relatively small RTS value, in general Soho Office site is not recommended to change the default value, or it will affect AP performance.
TX Power: This is used to set the wireless transmit power level. The default value is 100.
Wmm-capable: Can improve wireless multimedia data transmission performance (such as: video or online playback), if you are not familiar with WMM, please set it to open.
Aspdcapable: Automatic power saving mode, the default is off.
Tenda Wireless Router Set up the entire process for you to introduce, each aspect of the settings are illustrated as a reference, you can step by step test operation, I believe it will not be very difficult.
