The following is a sample of the Simple-switch.py app testing process, through the app to implement the flow table self-issued.

Simulate a switch (S1) three hosts (H1,H2,H3) on the mininet, then connect the Ryu controller remotely, use 127.0.0.1, and establish a connection with 6633port

Open two terminal terminal, one for mininet to establish a network topology simulation environment, one for analog remote Ryu controller.

First, in the Ryu controller to open the Simple-switch.py app, enter the command: Ryu-manager simple-switch.py, after opening


Second, establish a mininet simulation topology on another terminal, enter the command: MN--topo single,3--mac--switch Ovsk--controller Remote

Then the terminal in the Ryu will show the establishment of the connection, at the same time, will also synchronize some switches and controllers to establish the connection information,


At this time, the forwarding flow table in the switch is empty, so at this time the host is not able to communicate, in the use of H1 to ping H2, will be actively set up flow table


Note that the broadcast is done first, then the flow table in the opposite direction is established, and then the flow table in the positive direction is established. Flow table
