Step 2: Open the Excel file, select the data to be embedded in the Word2010 document, and perform the copy operation.
Step 2: Open the Word2010 document window and move the insert cursor to the target position of the embedded data. Click the "paste" drop-down triangle button in the "clipboard" group on the "start" functional area, and select the "paste selectively" command from the drop-down menu, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2: Open the "paste selected" dialog box, select the "Microsoft Excel 3rd worksheet object" option in the "form" list, and click "OK", as shown in figure 2.

Tips: if the data type of the embedded object is not listed in the "form" list, it means that the "Selective paste" function cannot be used to embed the data object. Return to the Word2010 document window. Double-click the embedded Excel table to edit the table, as shown in figure 3.
