Texworks is the editor provided by default for the Windows version of Tex Live. Notably, Texworks was developed by Jonathan Kew, the XeTeX author, and is characterized by its simplicity and friendliness and the integration of a lightweight PDF reader. Because we plan to use XeTeX to process Chinese, using Texworks has some advantages and saves a lot of configuration. Project home: http://www.tug.org/texworks/
Basic settings for Chinese typographyOpen Texworks, perform "Edit → preferences", under "Editor" tab, tick "line number", "Auto Complete", grammar Gaoliangxian latex. Under the "Layout" tab, select "Default Processing Tool" for Xelatex.
using TemplatesMost of the documents we write, almost all in the introductory area, use similar instructions, so it's time-consuming and laborious to enter them all at once, even if they're copied and pasted. Texworks provides template functionality to simplify this work. by default, Texworks has provided several templates to perform "file → new from template" to see. But these templates are in English, not suitable for Chinese. We write a Chinese version of the template (in fact, it is an ordinary. tex file, but only contains the framework), put to: C:\Users \\.texlive2013\texmf-config\texworks\templates path, It is recommended that you categorize your templates by folder, just as you would with your own templates.
spell Checkuse Texworks to write and spell check is essential. Because we inevitably write a typo. By default, Texworks does not have a spell check dictionary, and we need to configure it ourselves. First, download the dictionary. We use OpenOffice's dictionary, to its download page: http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries, find the appropriate language, you can download it. Next, under C:\Users\\.texlive2013\texmf-config\texworks, create a new dictionaries folder. Finally, put the extracted files in the Dictionaries folder. To restart Texworks, you can find the spelling dictionary that you just installed successfully in edit → spelling. In order to use it every time, go to "edit → preferences → editor → spell check Language" To select the dictionary you just added. Unfortunately, the spelling checker in Chinese is not very good.
Auto-CompleteWhen Auto-completion is checked in the preferences, you can use the TAB key to auto-complete. If you have more than one option, press the TAB key a few more to cycle through several options.
Switch between source code and previewThis is a feature that we often use. Compiled the document, we preview the time, we found that there is a need to modify, we want to jump to the corresponding source code immediately. Very simple, hold down the CTRL key and click in the preview where you have the problem. Conversely, CTRL + click somewhere in the source code will also jump to the corresponding location of the preview.
Show Document NavigationExecute "window → display → tag" To display the navigation on the left, by navigating we can clearly see the outline layout of the document. This is good for organizing ideas.
Delete a secondary fileDuring the compilation process, some auxiliary files are generated. However, we ultimately need to save only the source files and PDF files. Of course, we can delete our own work path below, but Texworks provides a better approach. Execute "file → delete auxiliary files".
Syntax Highlightingsyntax highlighting is defined in Syntax-patterns under the C:\Users\\.texlive2013\texmf-config\texworks\configuration path. If you need to customize the syntax highlighting, you only need to modify this file. from:http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_5f234d470101igyd.html
