One, the layout of some operations on a separate layer

When using Photoshop image processing, especially portrait processing, should be local color adjustment, eliminate spots, whitening teeth and other operations distributed in the independent layer, so even if you close the document, you can change the corresponding layer quickly edit, and do not need to start again. Also, because the edited layer is relatively independent, you can adjust the opacity to see the processing effect, and through the color adjustment layer and fill layer to get the layer mask, free to mask the corresponding part of the image.

To maintain the layer's initial state, most of the cases are replicated before a repair, cloning, patching, and content-aware move is performed, followed by a copy-copy layer. However, this will increase the volume of the image file.

You can do so by checking "sample all layers" or selecting "Sample: all layers/current and bottom layers" by checking the stain repair tool, the healing brush tool, the patching tool, the content aware move tool, and the stamp tool. Action as shown in the following illustration:

Third, new fill layer

Normally, if you need to fill the image with a solid color, gradient, or pattern, you may be able to add a layer to fill the operation, but this will increase the editing of the document layer, for large design will increase the layer management difficulty. Therefore, you can select Layer > new fill layer > solid/gradient/pattern in the main menu bar, and the fill layer automatically adapts to the canvas size and fills the canvas. If you need to change the color of the fill, just double-click to change it directly. Also, you can add a layer mask directly to remove unwanted padding.

Four, stamping function

When working with multiple layers of images, we can choose to merge or flatten the layers, and then perform operations such as drawing, fixing, stamps, content recognition padding, and content recognition proportions. However, such operations as drawing, fixing, stamp, content-aware padding, and content-recognition ratios can only be the single layer, and the merged or flattened plots will be replicated.

However, the next time you encounter an image that requires multiple layers, try stamping, press ctrl+shift+alt+e, or press ALT on the pop-up menu of the Layers panel and select the merge visual layer at the same time, creating a stamped copy layer for the selected layer and automatically moving it to the top of the Level Panel. This allows you to omit the steps for copying, and if you are not satisfied with the stamped layer edits, you can delete and do not affect the original layer.

Five, layer group function

If you need to add a mask to a whole image when you are working with multiple layers of images, you can choose to merge or flatten the layers, but you can also use Layer group functionality and convert smart objects so that you don't have to combine or flatten them to achieve the same effect.

Whichever method you choose, select the layer you want to edit, press ctrl+g, add the layer to the layer group, and then add the mask; for creating a Smart object, select the layer you want to edit, select Layers > Smart objects > Convert smart Objects in the main menu, and then add a mask to the smart object.

When you need to add a filter effect to a multiple-layer pattern or protect the original single layer using the filter, select Layers > Smart objects > Convert smart Objects from the main menu, and then when you build the Smart object, double-click the layer thumbnail to make the original layer.

This method protects the original layer and tests the filter effect. Add a filter effect to the Smart object layer, as shown in the following illustration. In the Layers Panel, double-click the filter effect under the Smart filter to open the appropriate Settings window, add a mask to the smart object layer, mask some of the filter effects, and click the Smart Filter to adjust the opacity and blending modes.

Vii. Use of Smart objects

The image quality can be lost and the original image can not be restored after the free transformation of the image. To avoid such problems, it is also the use of smart objects, so that smart objects can freely transform without worrying about the pixel of the image problem.

Eight, Feather Mask

If you want to create an oval, edge-feathered frame, we might select the image with the Ellipse tool and then add a mask. This may feather the image, but it will lose pixels of the image. So we need a mask for feathering. Select the layer mask and choose > Modify > Feather.

Nine, Camera raw filter

Sometimes Photoshop seems to be omnipotent, but in fact PS should not apply to all cases. For example, when editing text and multiple-page documents, it is more convenient to use illustrator or InDesign. Similarly, using PS is easier than Lightroom (Adobe Camera raw components), as with editing images. If you want to manipulate the Lightroom in Adobe Camera Raw, double-click the RAW format image to open it, or select "Filter >camera raw filter" through Photoshop CC. The latter can easily adjust the JPEG image color and dark changes, eliminate noise, use radial filters to create a custom edge gradient, using strokes, such as grinding skin.
