Why delete Browsing history in the IE8 browser, there are a lot of automatic suggestions, history, favorites, and so on in the dropdown menu of the address bar.
This is because IE8 uses Windows Search to index the content that has been accessed, and when you enter an address to the Address bar, IE8 automatically searches for information from the index (Windows XP requires additional downloads to install Windows Search to achieve this feature). This is a convenient place for IE8, but sometimes it seems to be a inconvenience to everyone.
Workaround:
If not, we can disable the integration of IE browser and Windows Search. The specific actions are as follows:
Open IE Explorer and click Tools-> Options on the toolbar. (If the toolbar is not visible, click the key combination alt+t it)
When the Internet Options window pops up, open the Content tab, and in the AutoComplete bar, click the Settings button.
In the automatic completion setting of the Address bar, uncheck "Get better results with Windows Search", and then click OK to save the changes.
(More thoroughly, you can simply cancel the application of the address bar to complete the function automatically.) Of course, this is a digression.
The index location now no longer contains Internet Explorer history ~ ~
Tip: To turn on indexing options, simply type "indexing Options" in the Start search box.
