Today, the developer of Cinnamon desktop environment announced that the PPA for Cinnamon desktop environment should be disabled, which means that it will be difficult to install the Cinnamon desktop environment on Ubuntu in the future.
Gwendal Le Bihan, the maintainer of Cinnamon PPA, explained the reasons for disabling PPA: "stable Cinnamon PPA will not be provided, but will be provided for developers to use it. I will not provide a backup PPA for Ubuntu users, unless I choose to migrate to another release that supports Cinnamon desktop. I hope that people on the Ubuntu side can finally provide suitable software packages to their users ."
If you want to experience the Cinnamon desktop environment, we recommend that you directly use the release that supports Cinnamon, such as Mint. At the same time, Linux Mint is also planning to release a long-term support version (LTS), so you don't have to worry about support issues.

Sudo apt-get install cinnamon
Restart the system and select the lightdm welcome page to enter Cinnamon:
