Solution:
If you want to install a shared laser printer in the LAN, the system prompts "the current printer driver is incompatible with a policy enabled on the computer, blocking windows? Nt? 4.0 or windows? 2000 kernel-mode driver ".
Group Policy Editor-> Computer Configuration-> management template-> printer-> a printer that uses the kernel-mode driver is not allowed to be installed: Disabled.
Kernel-mode drivers cannot be installed.
Determine whether the printer using the kernel-mode driver can be installed on the local computer. The kernel mode can access the memory within the system, so a poorly written Kernel Mode driver can cause a STOP error.
If you disable or do not configure this setting, the printer that uses the kernel-mode driver can be installed on a computer running Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional.
If you do not configure this setting on a Windows Server 2003 Family product, kernel-mode printer drivers are not installed.
If you enable this setting, you are not allowed to install a printer that uses the kernel-mode driver.
Note: by applying this policy, the existing kernel-mode driver will install the service pack or reinstall Windows XP
The OS is disabled. This policy does not affect 64-bit itanium computers because kernel-mode drivers cannot be installed on Intel 64-bit itanium
Computer.
Note: Open gpedit. MSC in the Group Policy Editor.
