The delete pointer should be assigned a value of NULL later

Source: Internet

Delete P only frees the memory space that the pointer points to. P is not automatically set to NULL, and the pointer is still in, pointing to the previous address

The delete null compiler does not error ( because the delete null pointer is legal)

Cases:

If you do not assign null to a non-null pointer, a problem may occur if you delete again.

The following code

int *p = new int (3);

Delete p;

Delete p;

A problem will occur when compiling with VC.

Change it to:

int *p = new int (3);

Delete p;

p = NULL;

Delete p;

The problem does not occur (because the delete null pointer is legal)

The delete pointer should be assigned a value of NULL later
