The desktop does not have an icon when the computer is powered on?
My Computer system is a Windows XP SP2, some time ago a strange problem, the boot into the system after the desktop unexpectedly did not have any icon, even the taskbar did not. Press "Ctrl+alt+del" to open Task Manager and use it to run the program correctly. Although this can also be used, but the desktop empty is too inconvenient, excuse me, what is the cause of this, how should be resolved?
Desktop all icons disappear should be the system shell Explorer.exe does not start properly or is closed (the desktop icon disappears when you manually end this process in the Windows 2000/xp Task Manager), in the Task Manager Manually run Explorer.exe back to the desktop, but it's not so easy to completely solve the problem. There are 2 possible reasons, please use the following methods to try to fix them in turn.
1, the problem of malicious program/virus
Reboot and hold F8 Select enter "Safe Mode", use antivirus software to scan system partition thoroughly, if it is malicious program, also can run Msconfig.exe open "System Configuration Utility", remove suspect program from startup in "Startup" tab.
2, file compatibility issues
If this problem occurs after installing some software, it is also in safe mode, and the latest installed program is unloaded in Control Panel → add removal program before the problem occurs. If the reboot does not solve the problem after uninstalling, it is possible that the Explorer.exe related DLL file was overwritten or corrupted at the time of the software installation, and the solution is to reboot into the "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" and enter the%systemroot% directory, Rename the Shdocvw.dll with the Ren command, and then use the Flash disk to copy the file from another computer (requiring the same system) to the directory of the failed machine, and reboot. Other documents that may appear include: Hdocvw.dll, Browseui.dll, Comctl32.dll, Comdlg32.dll, Mlang.dll, Oleaut32.dll, Shell32.dll, Shlwapi.dll, Urlmon.dll, Wininet.dll, Setupapi.dll.
A temporary solution: if the desktop after the boot does not have any icon, first "Ctrl+alt+del", select the "Application" tab, click the "New Task" button, enter the "Explorer.exe", click the "Confirm" button, the desktop icon on the back!
