The 1th chapter on the development of Linux
1.1. Linux Development

  1. Unix was born at Bell Labs for 1969 years.
  2. 1986 Andrew S.tanenbaum (Tan Bonning) developed Minix (mini Unix), mainly for teaching.
  3. Richhard Stallman (Stallman)
    Company: FSF, free Software Foundation
    Project: Geno program GNU
    Gnu=gnu is not Unix
    Excellent software: Bash (command interpreter), Gawk (Three Musketeers), EMACS,GCC
    GPL: general Public License
    A Free spread of open source, spread freely
    b Changes must be made to the modified content.
    GNU own kernel, the hurd,1996 year
  4. 1991, Torvals (Tawas), Linux's father, Linux kernel
    1.3 Differences between different distributions of Linux
    Ubuntu Bantu Developer Development using
    RedHat Red Hat, for state-owned, financial Red Hat Linux 9.0
    Red Hat Enterprise Linux Ruby 7.5
    The most popular CentOS domestic
    Fedora Redhat Beta new features new ideas put into Fedora stable
    Fedroa--->redhat--->centos
    DEBIAN/FREEBSD High Security requirements
    Suse/opensuse Germany Advanced database, mail Service
    Red Flag linux/won the Kylin
    1.3.1 CentOS and Redhat differences
  5. Redhat can be downloaded for free, item charges, cannot be updated.
  6. CentOS removes Red Hat charges and removes the Red Hat logo.
    1.4 Operating System
    1.4.1 Operating System composition
    Yolk: Kernel---linux--tawas
    Egg whites: Command interpreter Shell--gnu--bash
    Eggshell: Program Software--tens of thousands of programmers
    1.4.2 Operating System Definition
    An operating system is a computer system that manages hardware and software resources for computers.
    The operating system is an intermediary between human and hardware.
    2nd. Create a virtual machine and install the CentOS system
    2.1 Creating a virtual machine
    Steps: 1. Create a new virtual machine--Customize (Advanced)--Hardware compatibility Select workstation 12.0--> Install the operating system later--select Linux--> name, location (not installed on C drive)-- > Quantities are 1--> this virtual machine's memory 1gb/2gb--> use network address translation-->SCSI Controller LSI Logic (L)-->SCSI (S)--Create a new virtual disk-- The maximum disk size is 20.0GB, and the virtual disk is stored as a single file--disk file---complete.
    2.2 Installing the CentOS system
    2.2.1 Installation Steps
    1. Open the CD/DVD (IDE) and add the ISO image file.
    2. Turn on the virtual machine and select Install or upgrade an existing system--> select Skip-->next--> Select Chinese (English)-->u.s. English--> Select Basic Storage devices-->yes,discard any data-->hostname:oldboyed, tick connect automatically, Configure Network:ipv4 Settings:Mettod:Manual, add IP address, Apply-->asia/shanghai, do not tick system clock user utc--> Password:123456,use anyway-->create Custom layout--> partition (Fill to maximum allowable size).
    3. Select minimal and customize now--> left 2 right 235 (Base system,base,compatibility libraries,debugging Tools)--left 5 right 3 ( Development,development tools)-->501

Installation Complete (501):

3.reboot-->login:root password:123456 (password not shown, cannot be entered with numeric keypad)
Next==f12 during system installation
2.2.2 Virtual Network
Edit--Virtual network editor--Gateway

2.2.3 Installation Steps

2.3 Connecting the shell
Start-up new-name, protocol SSH, host 10.0.0.200--> user name: Root, remember user name-->password:123456, remember password
2.4 Disk Partitioning
Partitioning method meaning
Use all space for all spaces
Replace Existing Linux system replaces existing Linux systems
Shrink current system reduces existing systems
Use the free space with the rest
Create custom Layout creates a customized variable

/boot boot partition 200M
Swap swap partition is temporarily used as memory when memory is low
Memory <8g swap is 1.5 times times the memory
Memory >=8g Swap is 8G
768
/root partition where all program software is stored
How much is left?

2.5.2 32-bit vs. 64-bit differences:
Operating speed 32-bit 4 lane 64-bit 8-lane road
Addressing range (maximum supported memory) 32 maximum support 4G 64 support for larger memory
Design positioning 64-bit mainly for the server to use a large number of calculations
2.6 How CentOS is guided
Description of how the CentOS boot is interpreted
Install or upgrade an existing system new installation or upgrade installation (select)
Install system with basic video driver installation with a base driver
Rescue installed system start Rescue mode
Boot from local drive
