The difference between $* and $@ in the shell

$* all positional parameters, being used as a word

Note: "$*" must be referenced by ""

[email protected] is synonymous with $*, but each parameter is a separate "" reference string, which means that the parameters are passed completely, are not interpreted and extended, which also means that each parameter in each parameter list is treated as a separate word.

Note: "[email protected]" must be referenced.

[Email protected],$* is only a difference when it is wrapped in double quotes.]

Enclosed in double quotes:

$* all the parameters as a field.

[email protected] with IFS (the default is a space) to divide the field, if the space in "" is not divided.
