For years, there has been a protracted acrimony between Microsoft's supporters and Oracle's supporters. This is where Oracle databases have such capabilities, and there are those features of SQL Server that are at a disagreement. But that's not the point. Admittedly, performance is one of the most important indicators of evaluating a database, and can help you accomplish the tasks you need to accomplish. But do you know what the real difference between these two companies and their products is? And do you know why Microsoft can shake the entire industry's influence by tapping a sneeze?

The answer is simple, two words: information. Microsoft and the building of a strong information community, members of the community are committed to communicate and help each other, there are many forums in the community, so much so that you absolutely do not have time to browse them completely. And one of the most admirable things about it is that its MSDN forums are entirely run by Microsoft's own Product support Service team and development team. Do you want anything better than this? There are support teams, and there are really writing code of the guy, what problems can not be solved? There are also times when some senior staff write a bright new book for you to browse. These people are sure to disclose to the public all the secrets they know about the workings of SQL and how to use them.

Oracle is still living in the ancient closed Jurassic Park. You know, you can't do business now, the customer is God. You have to open up your community and start planning to encourage your best people to help and guide you.

If you want to pick up 10 database administrators from Microsoft and Oracle and let them race to see which side of the platform you are developing will find a solution first, then the kids on the Microsoft side are likely to find a solution faster than Oracle. That's the truth. If you want to find out some specifics about how Oracle database works from within Oracle, it's almost impossible to find out what it is, but for SQL Server, there's quite a lot of open resources and you'll find the answer to the problem in a few minutes.

So the real difference between these two database platforms is "community." Microsoft has spent a considerable amount of effort to build a community and to support the Community's development. Oracle, however, continues to follow old businessmen's outdated routines. And it looks as if Oracle is proud of its own closed paradise and intends to remain as it was. They are proud of how complex the Oracle database is, and that knowledge is a privilege that few elites can appreciate. This attitude is also prevalent in third party suppliers. Oracle does not have much video training on Oracle databases, even if it is not made by Oracle's high-level talent for video training in the usefulness of end users. and Microsoft's SQL video training is a handful.

Oracle's Web site, at best, is just some incomplete technical literature, which clearly does not meet the needs of users and makes people feel as if few people are using Oracle databases. Since there are so many user bases, why not provide the necessary training support for these users?

Because of the lack of community, third party training institutions have not been able to provide any training on Oracle databases. Oracle sum the entire UNIX world is an attitude that makes it difficult for the outside world to get the information they hold. People who are fortunate enough to use some of these resources tell us that even if you can get the information, it is very difficult to find the information you need. You don't have that much time to do a full search of all the relevant information for a small problem with the Oracle database. In this way, you might as well go through a guide written by an Oracle expert, which might give you an example of how these operations work, and tell you what it means. You know, everyone is willing to use the things available at hand, can let oneself solve the problem with the quickest speed.

All in all, Microsoft's SQL Server is a more comprehensive platform than the Oracle database platform, which is irrelevant to the performance of the platform, because if no one knows how to get the database running properly, once it goes wrong, even if the database itself is a better performance.
