The difference between charCodeAt and ASCW functions _vbs

Today we need to write a small program that converts characters to ASCII, which was originally a JavaScript charcodeat function, and later wanted to replace it with the ASCW function in VBScript, which was found to be different after comparison:

Functions similar to functions:

String.charcodeat use method: var code = "A". charCodeAt (0);
Similar ASCW () Usage: Dim code = ASCW ("A")

String.fromCharCode use method: var mystr = String.fromCharCode (97);
Similar ChrW () Usage: Dim MyStr = ChrW (97)

The difference:

In VBScript, ASCW is provided for 32-bit platforms that use Unicode characters. It returns the Unicode (wide) character code, so you can avoid code conversions from ANSI to Unicode.

charCodeAt in JavaScript always process characters in Unicode encoding.

The results of some characters are different:
Example: VBS:ASCW ("over") and JS: "Over". charCodeAt (0); The result is different.
