The difference between the "Jquery" this and the Event.target

Source: Internet
Author: User

Events in 1.js are bubbling, so this is changeable, but Event.target does not change, it is always the target DOM element that directly accepts events;

Both 2.this and Event.target are DOM objects, and if you want to use the methods in Jquey, you can convert them to jquery objects: $ (this) and $ (event.target);

Ex

JS Code

1     $ (function() {    2     $ ("Li"). Live ("Click",function(event) {     3         $ ("#temp"). HTML ("clicked:" + event.target.nodeName);     4         $ (event.target). CSS ("Color", "#FF3300");     5      })  6     });

Equivalent to

1  $ (function() {    2   $ ("Li"). Live ("Click",function(event) {     3     $ ("#temp"). HTML ("clicked:" + event.target.nodeName);     4     $ (this). CSS ("Color", "#FF3300");     5     event.stoppropagation ();     6   })    7 });

Note This must be organized in time bubbling,event.stoppropagation (); or return false;

Jquery This differs from the Event.target
