The error message "Terminating worker Thread 0" is returned when XAMPP cannot start Apache.

• Tomcat 7.0.21 (with mod_proxy_ajp as connector)

One Apache server can be successfully run and one cannot be started,The error message "Terminating worker Thread 0" is displayed on the XAMPP configuration page.And cannot start httpd.exe. At first, I thought there was a problem with the configuration of the httpd. conf file, but I thought that nothing had been changed under the default installation. If one of them had a problem, it should have nothing to do with the configuration file.

Cause:At this time, I found that the installation package name of XAMPP had vc9! Then I guess the difference between vc6 and vc9. I saw some posts on the internet, saying that PHP 5.3 only has vc9 and Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 Runtime is required before use, I guess Apache 2.2.21 in XAMPP is also using the vc9 version (it is said that the official version of vc9 is not available ). In fact, it is because Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 Runtime is not used.

Solution:Install Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 redistributable package (x86) or (x64). The installation package contains runtime. After installation, you can run Apache!
