A message from Brandongaille: If you add the author tag to a search engine to get a better idea of the author, you can also use it to generate a greater sense of trust, if you add a contributor (other author) tag, so that the author can spread influence even if the author does not join the link.
Authorship markup is one of the ways to determine the author's authority, which has been mentioned in the Google Help Center:
To identify the author of a blog or article, Google checks to see if there is a link between the content, such as providing the author's website, Google profile.
You can help Google identify the author of the article by a few ways:
1, improve the personal data under the Google account.
For example: Lou
2, if you are a blogger, you can add rel= "author" to your blog's signature. This approach applies to most Web sites.
For example: Lou
