The impact of Jupiter on the earth

The US Space Agency said that Jupiter was recently hit by a huge celestial body, and its atmosphere left a concave mark as big as the Earth.

AFP reported that an Australian amateur astronomy first found this dent on Thursday. The US Space Agency later shot a dent in the atmosphere at the southern tip of Jupiter with an infrared telescope.

Scientists estimate that this dent was caused by a collision of comet fragments or ice cubes.

Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and is 11 times larger than the Earth.
