The IP address cannot be obtained on windows.

I have been confused for a long time and have never thought about this matter. I have been setting up a fixed IP address to access the Internet. Suddenly this afternoon, I found out the root cause of the problem, it is because the DHCP service cannot be started and the computer cannot obtain the IP address. The solution provided by Microsoft is as follows: it is absolutely feasible after my test.

These problems cannot be solved. You are at your own risk of modifying the registry.

To solve this problem, use one of the following methods:

• Reinstall or fix missing applications.
• The DHCP Client Service dependency is installed in the registry. To perform this operation, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start and run. In the displayed dialog box, type regedit, and click OK.
  2. In the Registry Editor, locate and click the following registry subitem: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ DHCP
  3. Dependonservice, right-click, and click Modify
  4. In the value data box, delete the service that appears in the "Symptom" section.

     Note:Generally, the only service in the dependonservice item has the following services:

     • Tcpip
     • AFD
     • Netbt
  5. Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
