Recently, RedHat announced its cooperation with the CentOS open-source project. The CentOS team will be compiled by RedHat. So far, the RedHat open-source product line covers the enterprise-level Linux release version RHEL, the open-source Fedora Desktop Linux, and the open-source CentOS enterprise-level Linux release. The CentOS open-source project is re-compiled based on the RedHatRHEL open source code and does not contain software with closed source. In a sense, CentOS is the free version of RHEL.
