Enter in command mode
: Set Nu
Or
: Set Number
You can set the line number for VI, and if you want to cancel, enter
: Set Nonu
The setting of the line number is the environment setting of VI and does not affect the content of the text.

Permanent: OS (CentOS) This version of the system is modified by this/file ETC/VIMRC

Add set Nu or setnumber in this file

The number of rows will always be displayed when you edit the file with Vim.
