The size of ipa generated by archive is smaller than that generated by bulid and then dragged to itunes. The size of ipa is 7 and 8 Mb.

Cause

The archive execution file does not contain debugging information,

Xcode first generates the dSym file using the release execution file, then deletes it, and re-generates the archive execution file.


You can use the following methods to verify

GenerateDSYMFile

Dsymutil directory/Applications/Xcode. app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault. xctoolchain/usr/bin/dsymutil

./Dsymutil YourAppExeFile-o YourAppExeFile. app. dSYM


The YourAppExeFile. app. dSYM generated by release is complete.

The size of YourAppExeFile. app. dSYM generated by archive is only dozens of KB, Which is useless.
