The wireless driver is successful, but the udev interface cannot be renamed, and thus the wireless network-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information cannot be used. For more information, see the following. The wireless network driver is successful, but udev renames the interface, so that the system cannot find the interface and thus cannot use the wireless network.

Boot log and my explanation
Ipw2200: Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 Network Driver, 1.2.2k // my Wireless Network adapter intel2200
Ipw2200: Copyright (c) 2003-2006 Intel Corporation

Ipw2200: Detected Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection // hardware Detected

Net eth2: device_rename: sysfs_create_symlink failed (-17) // for unknown reasons ....
Udev: renamed network interface eth1 to eth2 // eth1 is renamed as eth2

.....Net interface eth1 does not exit // The wireless interface eth1 does not exist.

Problem description:

Obviously, the system tries to use eth1 when connecting to the wireless network during system startup, and before the system connects to the network, the wireless network device registered in/sys/class/net/is eth2 (renamed), so that eth1 does not exist.

Therefore, the solution should be to change the network interface name. After searching on the internet, several people encountered similar problems, such as a foreigner, but they did not solve the problem.

I think of a solution:
Change the network interface Name
There are many methods.
My practice: Use udev to change net interface

Vim/etc/udev/rules. d/010_netinterfaces.rules

Join

KERNEL = "eth *", SYSFS {address} = "11: 22: 33: 44: 55: 66", NAME = "eth1"

11: 22: 33: 44: 55: 66 is changed to your MAC address.

The problem is solved, but I am still confused about the cause. It is said that it may be because vmware is used, and the virtual Nic uses the interface name eth1.
