The Replace function of string in JavaScript

Source: Internet
Author: User

The 1.replace () method is used to replace other characters with some characters in a string, or to replace a substring that matches a regular expression.

Syntax: Stringobject.replace (regexp/substr,replacement)

Example:

1 // I ' m demon
View Code

It's the same as we thought, but

1 // I ' m a studeNt, and you?
View Code

Why is that?

The second ' n ' is not replaced. The Replace method of a string if the first argument passes in a string, only the first occurrence is replaced. If you want to replace all occurrences, you need to pass in a RegExp object and specify its global property.

The right should be for

1 // I ' m a studeNt, and you?
