The initial sense of software engineering

Last week two software engineering classes, the first class teacher introduced us to this course and the master Xin Zou, but I still do not know what this course is to do, I understand now is the literal meaning, should be how to do a software. Then I went to the library to borrow the Xin Zou Teacher's construction of the second edition of the new book, after a cursory look at a while, I found that there are some feelings is the same article, feeling and we usually learn the kind of textbook completely different, very not adapt. The second class when the teacher let a classmate introduced to us git this software for uploading the program, we all feel very novel, because we have not contacted this kind of software, only used our school's own research and development of CG platform to submit programs and jobs. It's obvious that git is a lot more complicated to use than it is, and that it's very cumbersome, and that it's not going to be able to upload the program smoothly. I hope that through the further course, I can skillfully use git this software, and do really understand the meaning of software engineering this course.
