The installation of Oracle 11g cluster software does not automatically recognize Disks

If Oracle 11g has not been successfully installed in the AIX system, during the second installation, the Oracle 11gGrid installation software cannot automatically identify the disk because the disk has been written into heap data and data needs to be cleared, can be automatically recognized.

Solution:

View system storage: lspv

For example, a disk is/dev/hdisk5.

Root users only need to: dd if =/dev/zero f =/dev/hdisk5 bs = 81920

Commands can be interrupted without execution. You can automatically identify the Oracle cluster software after it is installed.

Note:

Display disk storage in the AIX System

> Lspv

Hdisk0 000e7fede0363431 rootvg active

Delete Disk:

Rmdev-dl hdisk3

Attach Disk:

Cfgmgr-l fsci2
