Hi! You have been missing for a long time. Do you know what is the most popular network programming language? ASP. NET and JSP. in particular, JSP is recognized by many people as the most promising network programming language in the future. so now many of my friends are using JSP, which is a cross-platform programming language that can run on many Web servers, such as ApacheTomcat, IBMWebSphereServer, BEAWeblogic6.0, etc. of course, some friends like to use Microsoft's IIS to run, but IIS itself cannot interpret and execute JSP. It must support JSP through a plug-in, such as JRun or ServletExec. however, many of my friends encountered problems when installing JRun. I have also checked a lot of information on the network, and many of the information is not accurate. To help you solve this problem, I will talk about how to install and set JRun with IIS today.
JRun is a JAVA Server software developed by Allaire. It supports the JSP1.1 and Servlet2.2 specifications. The latest version is JRun4, but its download is billed, JRun3 is hard to find on the Internet now, and many of them cannot be downloaded. I spent a lot of money to download JRun3 for free. Now I will share it with you!

File Name: jrun3.exe size: 19.8 M
Now let's take JRun3 as an example to talk about its installation!
I. Installation Process
When installing the listener, you need to set the listener port. Generally, the default listener port is 8000. In addition, you need to set the user password. The user name here is the default admin, serial number can not set, of course, can also use the enterprise registration code: JR300EE-9900-6270-0000. finally, select the SDK directory. the installation is completed by default in other steps. After the installation is successful, the following figure 1 is displayed. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Ii. JRun settings
After the installation is complete, the system automatically starts the main page of JRun and requires you to enter the password set during installation. After confirmation, the JRun setting page is displayed. 2
Figure 2
This is the default value of JRun. We need to change JRunServerName to jrundefaserver server. Here, I want to emphasize that many online materials are for everyone to change the value of JRunServerName, otherwise, use the default value. in fact, this is completely wrong. Let's take a look at it. Now we have installed the JRun plug-in on the basis of IIS, but you should take a closer look at the value of WebServerType, the default version is ApacheWebServer. Of course, the version is also the Apache server version. When you confirm this step, the system will not report an error, but we will not find the path of ApacheConfig in step 3. because we have never installed it. therefore, please remember to change the value of WebServer Type to IIS. the version will change automatically. 3
Figure 3
When you click Next. the system will prompt you to disable the IIS server. At this time, you should jump to the IIS server immediately and disable IIS. then, click "OK" to go to the next page, which is to set JRunServerIPAddress. Generally, we set our computer as the server. therefore, enter 127.0.0.1 here and set JRunServerConnectorPort to 9000. Of course, you can enter this as long as the port is not used. click Next To go to the page for setting the IIS Config file, as shown in Figure 4:
Figure 4
Here we select C: \ Inetpub \ Scripts, and then click Next. of course, if you are a friend who installs the Apache server, you can default the server type in the second step. In this step, you should select the path of ApacheConfig. if there is no error as described above, You should see the prompt You have successfully installed the connector for IIS in step 1. you must restart your Web server to complete the JRun Connection Module installation. click the done button and JRun will go to the home page of the server. A small window will pop up at this time. You can close it. in this case, you only need to restart the JRUN Default Server.
Iii. IIS settings
After setting JRrn, we can set IIS again. restart the IIS service, click the website, select properties, and view the ISAPI tab in the properties box. You will find that the ISAPI filter contains a name named "JRrn Connector". After confirmation, select the Home Directory tab. In this panel, we select Configuration. In the application configuration panel, click Add to enter the Add/edit application extension ing panel, in the executable file bar, select C: \ Inetpub \ Scripts \ Jrun. dll file with the extension. all other jsp values are available by default. 5
Figure 5
The executable file is the path set for IIS Config of JRrn in step 2. After you click "OK", all JRun and IIS configurations are completed. the next step is to create a virtual directory (this directory is used to store JSP files) in IIS to test the settings we just set and put a JSP file in this directory, set the document options, disable IIS, restart IIS, open IE, and enter http: // localhost in the address bar, after you press enter, you will find that the browser is displaying the effect of your JSP file. finally, we are done.
Let's talk about it this time. I hope you will like my explanation. If you have any questions, I 'd like to discuss it with you. Next time, I will see you!
