Article title: The Linux Foundation announced its first End User Summit on Wednesday. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.

The Linux Foundation plans to hold an end-user summit on Wednesday, August 27. At that time, Linux users will be able to interact with the Linux community, including top-level maintenance providers and developers.

The first Linux Foundation end user Collaboration Summit is scheduled to be held in New York from January 1, October 13-14. The foundation said that end users will be able to communicate directly with the Linux core community. According to the foundation, the summit aims to accelerate Linux innovation and promotion through communication between end users and senior Linux developers.

Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation, said in a statement released by the Foundation: "The open source development model is unique. End users can not only provide feedback about the software, but also repair patches and develop new functions by themselves. this is also the basis and important part of the community. However, before the summit, there was no neutral forum to achieve and optimize collaboration between end users and developers. The end user summit will fill this gap and speed up problem resolution ."

The summit will include a speech by Ron Hovsepian, CEO of Novell, and an on-site Q & A by Zemlin. John Corbet of LWN.net will introduce the main development direction of Linux core technologies in the next 12 to 24 months.

Paul Cormier, executive vice president and product and technology president of RedHat, will also speak at the summit.

End users will also discuss with top Linux maintainers including Andrew Morton and James Bottomley at the summit. During the summit, Linux users from the New York Stock Exchange, the Chicago Stock Exchange, AIG Swiss Credit Bank, and simulation national information service will also discuss.

Anyone interested in attending the end user summit can visit the Linux Foundation website to apply for an invitation letter. The foundation will choose whether to send an invitation letter based on whether the applicant may provide high-quality comments and suggestions to the core community.
