The local print Spooler service is not running and Windows cannot connect to the printer to deny access

vista/win7 Add network XP system shared printer This "ground Print Spooler service is not running" and "Windows cannot connect to printer denied access" Workaround this problem occurs because the machine that is connected to the printer is an XP system, and only the printer driver under XP is installed.  This driver can only support machine-shared printing for xp/200x systems, and does not support Vista or Win7. Solution: 

1, click Start/Control Panel/printer,

 2, select "Add Printer",

 3, select "Add a local printer", click the Step; 

4, select "Create New Port"/select "Local Port", press Next, prompt for port name, enter the absolute path of the shared printer in the name. In the format: \\XXX (the computer name or IP address of the shared printer)/xxx (share name of the shared printer), such as \\192.168.0.254/HPLASERJ, press OK; 

5, install from disk, select the 64-bit driver to download, overwrite the old driver 

6, add the success, Try printing the test page. 

7, if the port error is prompted, just run \\XXX (the computer name or IP address of the shared printer), and then double-click the printer connection, the Point menu is set as the default printer after the connection is successful. 

If the machine connecting the printer is in a domain, or if a password is required to be authorized to access it, do the following before you perform the Add Printer: (otherwise, "Unknown user name and password" may appear) 

1. Start/Run (can win+r shortcut) 

2. Enter the computer name or IP address of the shared printer. such as//192.168.0.254 

3. In the Username and password box fill in the Account information, select Save Password

 4.OK, perform the above solution to add the printer, success.
