The method of converting TXT to mobi format ebook under Linux system

For MATE desktops, the default text editor is Pluma. Sometimes we open a TXT file, will find garbled, or not open the phenomenon, this is because the system does not correspond to the code, we have to gradually solve.
1. Install Dconf-tools:

2. In the menu: System Tools to find the "dconf System Configuration Editor" and open, on the left side of the editor click "Org/mate/pluma", find the place we need to modify.

We need to manually add ' GB18030 ', ' GBK ', ' GB2312 ' These three encodings: double click on the right side of the "value" option, the slot box to add the above three kinds of coding. Regarding the configuration Pluma coding problem, if feels complex, may install the software Leafpad directly to replace Pluma.
3. Open the Software Manager, search the software calibre and install it.

4. Will have downloaded a good txt, using Pluma (or Leafpad) Open, click "File-Save as", and select the character encoding as "UTF-8."

5. Open the software calibre (in the menu: Office Options), click on the top left corner "add Books", select TXT ebook and click "Open"

Then click "Convert Book".
