In addition to the masking function in zbrush®, local grids can be edited, and local grids can be controlled by showing and hiding local meshes. The control of the selection grid is manual, and there is no corresponding command to operate in the software. Choosing a local grid works simply as the selected grid participates in editing, while the hidden mesh does not participate in editing.

How to do this: hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys, hold down the left mouse button in the Document view area and drag, the grid under the green rectangle will be selected, and the mesh that is not overwritten will be hidden. If you hold down the SHIFT and CTRL key while you hold down the left mouse button in the document view and drag to create a green rectangle, and then hold down the ALT key, the green rectangle will turn red, and the range covered by the red rectangle will be hidden, while the mesh that is not selected is left in the display state.

Here's how to do it.

1. Hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys, press and hold the left mouse button over the waist of the Rhino model, and release the cursor behind the head and the front half of the rhino model in the green rectangular box, and hide the part that is not framed, as shown in. Hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys and click the left mouse button in the blank area of the screen to display all the models (including any hidden meshes).

2. Hold down the SHIFT key and CTRL key, hold down the left button on the waist of the Rhino model and drag, release the SHIFT key after the green rectangle covers the Rhino model's head and the first half, and then press the ALT key to release the mouse when the green rectangle becomes a red rectangle, as shown in the box.

3. Hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys, drag and drop the green rectangle (or the red rectangle) in the blank area of the canvas, and the rectangle cannot overwrite the grid of any part of the model, and you can invert the currently displayed part and the hidden part.

4. Hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys and click the left mouse button in the blank area of the view to display all the hidden parts.

5. All of the above is done by holding down the SHIFT and CTRL keys, dragging the mouse to draw the rectangle, or using the Lasso tool on the right tool rack to make the box selection.
