The method of SD card capacity adjustment in Hippocampus simulator

Hippocampus simulator is an Android simulator, we can simulate the setup of the phone's SD card, then if the SD card mirrored file capacity directly to expand, you need to find a way, SD card expansion needs to occupy the computer above the hard disk space, it is also mainly in a large hard disk operation.

So before you adjust, be careful to back up the data in the SD card.

1. First in the simulator, open "Set → storage", you can see the cell phone internal capacity and SD card capacity.

Here SD card capacity is: 32G

Close the emulator, and then open VirtualBOX virtual Machine Manager.

Reference path: "C:Program filesoracle VM VirtualBoxVirtualBox.exe"

In virtual Machine Manager, we can view the filename of the droid4x mirror file and the corresponding virtual allocation space.

In virtual Machine Manager, right-click the virtual machine for "droid4x" and select "Settings"

1, in the Open window, select the left column of "Storage" (Storage)

2, in the right column to find the SD card image file, and then click the "Remove button" to remove the mirror, and then determine the operation.

PS: This removal will not delete the old SD card image files, if you need to remove the SD card image files, please go to the Software directory "VirtualBox VMs" Delete.

Re-open the storage settings for the virtual machine, select IDE controller (IDE Controller), then the right side will appear two small icons, click on the right side of the "Add Disk", in the pop-up window click "Create New Disk".

Select Advanced Mode, and then refer to the image above

1. Enter the SD card image file name

2. Input capacity (please do not have sufficient capacity of the partition)

3. Mirrored file type: VMDK

4. Create

When you are done, you can see the SD card image file creation complete, the capacity is 64G

After the above settings are completed, the start simulator returns to the storage settings to see the new SD card.

PS: It is possible to start the emulator for the first time, and if it fails, restart the emulator again.

Attention matters

SD card capacity cannot be directly expanded, only the new SD card image can be replaced, please note the backup data.
