The MySQL database of Ubuntu 15.04 allows remote connection to Toad.

I installed Ubuntu 15.04 IN THE vmwarevm. mysql service can be enabled. However, when Toad is used for remote connection, the connection fails and an error message is displayed.

Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.

The solution is as follows:

1. Disable the Firewall

Root @ bkjia:/etc/mysql # ufw disable

2. Comment out bind-address = 127.0.0.1 in the/etc/mysql. conf. d/mysqld. cnf file.

Procedure:

Root @ bkjia:/etc/mysql # vim/etc/mysql. conf. d/mysqld. cnf

3. Restart the mysql service.

Root @ bkjia:/etc/mysql # service mysql restart
