The official Fedora10 version has been released.

As a new open-source Linux release, Fedora10 introduces many important new features and technologies to improve the availability of desktop user experience. Based on the Linux Kernel 2.6.27 introduced in February October this year, Fedora 10 has improved compatibility with popular cameras and integrated the new Atheros ath9k wireless driver. The Firefox 3.0.4 browser is also available by default.

Fedora 10 provides the latest installation environments KDE 4.1 and GNOME 2.24. The former is released in July, and the latter is released in July, integrates the Empathy and labelled browsing of the instant messaging client, and improves the Nautilus file management.

According to official release notes, the main features of Fedora 10 include:

-Better support for infrared remote control to facilitate connection with many applications

-Added/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin to PATH to simplify command line management tasks.

-Online Account Service provides certificate-based applications for accounts located in the http://online.gnome.org or saved in GConf
