The quickest way to install RPM from a DVD-RedHat/Fedora

Many programs in the RedHat/Fedora installation CD are not installed by default. How can I install programs from the CD without connecting to the network? The most convenient method from the bugzilla of redhat is as follows.

Attach the CD. Ensure that the/dist is writable.
Mkdir-p/dist/dvd
Mount/dev/cdrom/dist/dvd
Install createrepo
Rpm-ivh createrepo-0.4.4-2.fc6.noarch.rpm
Create repo data
Cd/dist
Createrepo.
Yum clean all
Update the yum configuration file/etc/yum. repos. d/dvd. repo as follows:

[Cdrom]
Name = cdrom
Baseurl = file: // media/rhel
Gpgkey = file: // media/rhel/dvd/RPM-GPG-KEY-redhat-release
Now, you can freely install things on the DVD, such
