Bug Description:
After you install the Web deploy component by using the Web Platform installer that comes with IIS, right-click the Web site and there is no new deployment option in the pop-up menu.
Bug fixes:
I tested it on both computers, on a virtual machine, and 3 times the same result: after the installation, the right-click menu didn't work.
So I was thinking, is the official installation path out of the bug?
Holding this question, I'm going to go to the IIS website to find the standalone Web deploy installation package, as follows:Http://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/web-deploy
At the bottom of the page, you can find a separate installation package, which is also 32-bit and 64-bit.
After downloading, the direct installation, will pop up the prompt, meaning: You have installed, do not need to install.
This time you need to go to the control panel inside the "programs and features" Inside, find the Web Deploy, right-click and select "Uninstall".
After the uninstallation is complete, run the downloaded installation package again. It's a good idea to reboot after installation, and then you can find the new Deployment menu item in the IIS Web site right-click menu
So, this is Microsoft's own pot?
The right-click menu does not appear after IIS installs Web deploy
