I. Use thunder to update the System
Although the release of IE8 is the beta1 version, a bug has emerged-users will not be able to access Microsoft's Windows update Service through IE8. Once a user accesses the site through IE8, the following message is displayed: "You must use IE5 or a later version to access the site." (1 ).

Since the system cannot be updated through the browser, we must find another way. Fortunately, thunder provides the system vulnerability repair function, which consumes less resources and is faster! I have tried it and it is completely feasible!
First download and install the latest version of thunder, and then start it. We can see the "system vulnerability fix" item under "downloaded". If it is not installed, the installation Prompt window will appear. Then we can see the window shown in 2. We can use it to update the system. After that, restart the computer as prompted.

After you open IE8, you can see that there is a "simulate IE7" button on the interface, press it, the window shown in 5 pops up, click "OK" to restart IE8. When you open the http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com, you can see that it is available (6 ). At the same time, please note that the "simulate IE7" button shown in 6 has been selected.
