The source port of AIX is connected to the front port of vnx. The Storage Group is not allocated to the array, causing the LUN space to be unavailable.

 

Fault symptom:

AIX is connected to the frontend port of VNX, but no Storage Group is assigned to the array. AIX configures a LUNZ device on each channel.

(You can see it by using lsdev-Cc disk). As a result, the LUN space cannot be used normally.

Solution:

1. Configure the Storage Group/Storage View and add HLU 0. You must manually delete the LUNZ device (rmdev-dl hdiskX ).

2. Ipvmgr can identify devices with HLU = 0 and confirm that the lun space is available.
