When the computer operation, students play games is a lot of information technology teachers face a difficult problem, especially in Windows with a few classic games lasting endurance, so that students enjoy. This semester, our school has a new room, pre-installed Windows XP operating system, the author removed all of them from the game. But some seniors, after they get on the computer, install the game again through the Add/Remove Windows Components in Control Panel. So is there any way to completely ban Windows XP from the game?

Unlike Windows 98, Windows XP does not list all components in the Add/Remove Windows components, and some components such as paint, WordPad, and so on are hidden and cannot be deleted and modified arbitrarily. Then, we can also hide the "game" component from the attachments and tools so that students cannot install it arbitrarily.

First, remove Windows from your computer with the Add/Remove Windows components.

Select a student computer, open the Windowsinf folder, and locate the Sysoc.inf file, which records the properties of each component in Add/Remove Windows components. Open it with any text editing software (such as Notepad), find the first line of the second paragraph in [Components]: "Games=ocgen.dll,ocentry,games.inf, 7", and change it to "Games=ocgen.dll," ocentry,games.inf,hide,7 "(figure) so that the game component has the Hide (hidden) property and saves the file. When you open Add/Remove Windows Components again, you will find that there is no "game" item in the Attachments and tools, which means there is no way for students to install Windows with their own games. If you need to install the game in the future, "Hide" remove the original sentence can be recovered.

Now the school room is generally equipped with electronic classroom software, the use of electronic classrooms commonly used "file distribution" function, will have been edited Sysoc.inf files to other students in the Windowsinf folder to replace the original file, so you can completely shut down the entire computer room windows from the game.

By modifying the relevant statements in the Sysoc.inf file, you can also uninstall all Windows components, such as backup, System Restore, disk compression, and so on in the attachments.
