The speed of accessing samba from Ubuntu dual Nic of VMWare Virtual Machine doubles

Objective: To improve the speed of Samba file sharing with the Virtual Machine Ubuntu.

Solution:

Ubuntu uses a dual-nic, one bridge is connected to the physical Nic, And the other uses the host-only method to interact with the host for Samba. As shown in:

After a virtual network card with host-only access is added, start the virtual machine. In fact, the Samba share of the Virtual Machine Ubuntu can be accessed, but DHCP is used by default to obtain the IP address;

I don't know why this access speed is much slower, but it is faster than accessing Samba through another bridge physical Nic;

As long as the host-only NIC is set to static IP, the speed of the host to access the VM Ubuntu Samba will be twice the speed of the physical bridge Nic;

Physical bridging NICs are mainly used to access the Internet;

Another advantage of using the host-only NIC to access the Virtual Machine Samba is that when the network cable of the Computer host is unplugged, the Network Disk mapped to the virtual machine remains connected.
