Q: Recently purchased a USB mobile hard drive, after connecting to the computer, the Windows XP operating system does not eject the "Discover USB device" prompts, what is this problem caused?

A: The problem is that the motherboard BIOS does not assign an interrupt number to the USB interface, causing the Windows XP operating system to not recognize the USB device. The solution is simple: Start the computer, press the "DEL" key to enter the motherboard BIOS setup interface, select "Pnp/pci Configurations".

Set the "Assign IRQ for USB" to "Enable", press "F10" key, save and exit the BIOS setup interface, restart the computer, connect the device, the problem can be solved.
