Procedure:
1. decompress and use the ultraiso software to open the images/boot. iso file extracted from the rhel-5.3-server-i386-dvd.iso file. As shown in
2. use the UltraISO software and click Start> write hard disk image> write. Write the boot. iso file into the USB flash drive, and all other files in the USB flash drive will be lost. Therefore, we recommend that you leave the USB flash drive empty before writing. As shown in

4. restart the computer and enter bios to set the USB flash disk as the first boot item.
5. Insert the USB flash drive into the computer and restart the computer.
6. after the RedHat boot menu is started, press F2 and enter linux askmethmod.
7. after a series of programs run, the installation dialog box appears. select the source to be installed as the hard disk (that is, the USB flash disk), usually starting with sd (usually: sda is the hard drive sdb is a USB flash drive), here for the USB flash drive installation, so select the source at the beginning of the selection, you can unplug the USB flash drive in the plug-in to confirm the name of the device mounted to the USB flash drive, after the mounted device is selected, the input path dialog box below is the directory where the iso is located. for example, in the root directory, enter :/
(Here, because my computer is older than the hard disk is sdb, you must pay attention when selecting the start item. Otherwise, the USB flash drive cannot be started normally)
8. start installation. the installation steps are the same as those on the virtual machine.
9. during the installation process, note that if the Grub boot loader is installed on/dev/sdb, the system cannot be booted after the USB flash drive is pulled out .!! Follow these steps to change the grub boot sequence and select "configure advanced boot loader options. Click next.
Then click to change the drive sequence. generally, sda is the hard disk and sdb is the USB flash disk. Move/dev/sda up.
