The Dreamweaver head element contains a number of important information, such as document type, language encoding, JavaScript and VBScript functions and variables, search engine keywords, and content hints. You can view its contents using the View-head content or the HTML Inspector (F10).
To insert an element into the head of the document, select the head of the object panel, which describes some of the attributes of the head element:

Meta: It can record information about the current page, such as character encoding, author, copyright, and keywords. It can also be used to provide information to the server, such as due date and page refresh interval.
Attribute: Specifies whether the META tag contains page description information (NAME) or HTTP header information (HTTP EQUIV).
Value: Specifies the type of information that is provided. Some values are already defined and there is a special property inspector in the DW. For example, description (description), keyword (keywords), refresh (refresh), and so on. You can also specify any other value, such as CreationDate (date created), document ID (documentation number), and level (rank), and so on.
Content: actual content. For example, if you specify level (rank) of value (value), the content may be beginner (primary), intermediate (intermediate), Advanced (Advanced).
Title: The title of the page, displayed on the title bar of the browser.
Keywords: Many popular search engines can automatically read the keywords content in the META tag and use that information to establish an index of the page in their database. Some search engines have a quantitative limit on the number of keywords or characters that are indexed. Some are ignoring all keywords when the keyword is out of bounds. Therefore, it is necessary to select keywords for web pages. You can use commas to separate keywords in fields that are marked as keywords.
Description: Many popular search engines can automatically read Description content in META tags that some engines use to establish an index of the page in their database, and some will display that information under a link to the page in search results, rather than at the beginning of a document. There are some restrictions on the number of characters in the indexing of the search engine, so it should be as concise as possible.
Refresh: You can use the Refresh element to specify that pages are automatically refreshed after a certain period of time.
Action: Specifies whether you want to go to a different URL or refresh the current page. To go to a different URL, click the Brower button to select the page you want to load.
Delay: Is the wait time in seconds before refreshing the page, so you can enter 0 in this field to refresh the page immediately.
Base: Use the base element to set the base URL.
Href: Specifies the base URL, which you can type directly into the path or selection.
Target: Specifies the window to open for all linked documents. You can select either a frame in the current frameset or one of the four reserved windows that it provides, default to _self.
Link: Use the link element to define the relationship between the current document and other files.
Href: Is the URL of the file to define the relationship. You can type or select directly.
ID: Specifies a unique identifier for a link.
Title: Describes the relationship of links. This property is appropriate for linking style sheets.
Rel: Specifies the relationship between the current document and the document for the HREF domain Chinese. The possible values include: alternate (alternative), Stylesheet (style sheet), start (start), Next (next), Prev (previous), content (contents), index (index), Glossary (vocabulary), C Opyright (copyright), Chapter (chapter), section (festival), subsection (subsection), appendix (appendix), Help (helpful information), bookmark (bookmark), etc. To specify multiple relationships, use a space to separate values.
