If the Windows 98 system does not completely crash, but some system errors are not repaired by ScanDisk or error-correcting software, you can use part of Windows 98 to restore the installer. This installer can be found in the Tools folder of the Windows 98 CD.

Go to DOS, enter Toolssysrec directory, run Pcrestor, Setup will start. The speed of this installation is similar to the speed of the hard drive installation system, and it does not cause data loss. At the same time, when you reset the hardware, it is generally done automatically.
