There are two ways to add application shortcuts in the Start Menu of Windows Mobile.

In Windows Mobile development, after a project is packaged as a cab installation package, shortcuts are not added in the Start Menu by default. If you want to add shortcuts to the application's Start Menu, you can use either of the following methods:

I. Add shortcuts to the smart device cab Project

To add shortcuts to an application in this way, follow these steps:

Ø open the file system of the smart device cab project, right-click and choose add special folder-> Start Menu folder. The New Start Menu folder is displayed in the file system;

Ø select the Start Menu folder item, right-click the window on the right and choose create new shortcut cut, select your application execution file, and name the shortcut as needed;

The disadvantage of this method is that you cannot add a Chinese shortcut name to the application. Otherwise, an error is reported.

II. The second method is to use the wince cab manager, which is version 3.0. After installing the wince cab manger, open the cecabmanager.exeexecutable file and select the specified cabproject package. cecabmanager.exe reads the basic information of the cab project package. Then, follow these steps:

Ø right-click the shortcut and select Add ()...

Ø specify the shortcut name;

Select the shortcut for creating executable files;
