There is no problem with the addition function inside Excel

A few days ago, AppleInsider reported that Microsoft in a new Surface 2 ads in the embarrassment-the emphasis on surface multi-functional processing, the page on the right side of Excel has made a low-level addition error. The following is a screenshot, the sum shown above should be 9500 U.S. dollars, but Excel is counted as 9000 dollars.

In this respect, Microsoft Vice President Franksio (Frank Shaw) issued a statement: "The picture in the advertisement is not wrong, 9000 dollars is not the final result, but Excel is editing the results." At the same time, he advises those who have questions to test themselves.

In the end, Brad Sams, a friend, has tested that the content displayed in the ads can be restored in office 2013 and Office Web apps. Therefore, the conclusion is that there is no problem with the addition function within Excel.

However, it has to be said that even if Excel's addition function is no problem, a simple advertisement is so "not unusual way", this strange practice can not help but be ridiculed.
