Lenovo ThinkPad's f1~f12 key function is the opposite of other notebooks!
In other words, if you do not press FN, press the function keys, the implementation is the function of the property settings, such as directly pressing the F1 key is mute, the F2 key is the volume down, F3 is the volume increase and so on. If you press the FN+F1 key, the F1 feature is turned on, which is the system Help feature.
However, this setting can be set in the BIOS, that is, you can give it the reverse, the operation is as follows:
Boot press F1 key , do not press fn key , enter the BIOS, select the first Config, and then select keyboard/mouse, enter the option, The change to "f1-f12 keys" option is set to Legacyso that the functions on the F1-F12 keys are interchanged.
Note: The Thinkpad E440 BIOS settings only switch between the Ctrl and Fn functions, without the F1~F12 key settings mentioned above! After the user reminds, E440 can be directly press Fn + ESC combination can switch, do not need to enter the BIOS, and restart the computer, the settings will not be lost!
Second, FN and CTRL key Interchange
Enter the BIOSand set theFN and CTRL key swapoption to ENABLED !
Third, disable touch pad
