Start the installation, the first step, adjust the BIOS settings

1. Use the Lenovo official BIOS upgrade tool to upgrade the BIOS version of X220 to 1.42, where the tool downloads Windows 1.42 Update Utility or bootable 1.42 CD Image

3. Restart your computer press F1 to enter the BIOS for the following settings:

   • Config > Serial ATA (SATA) > AHCI
   • Security > Memory Protection > Execution Prevention > Enabled
   • Startup > Uefi/legacy Boot > Both
