Metro options
The top Metro options selection box is the switch between the Metro-style start menu and the Ribbon interface of the resource manager. You can either disable or disable them together, or restore them at any time. After the selection, click Apply at the bottom, and click yes as prompted to restart and take effect.
Power options
I believe that it takes a lot of effort to find the shutdown/restart option when you first use the Windows 8 preview version. In the original Win8 shutdown/restart command, you must first click the setting option on the charm bar, click power on the right side of the screen, and then click shut down/restart in the pop-up box to close/restart the system.
Normal Win8 shutdown/restart process
This tool gives us a quick option to shut down, restart, unregister, and switch users/sleep/lock, and select the functions you need, such as restart and shut down, then apply at the bottom of the program. After testing, if you only need to add the power option to the Start Screen without restarting the system, select no in the restart inquiry window that appears.
Switch to the Metro Start Screen. You will find that the previously added options appear on the screen (by default, they are on the rightmost side of all applications and may need to be rolled to the screen ), drag them to the appropriate location. In the future, whether it is restart or shutdown, you just need to click it.
Shutdown/restart on the metro Start Screen
If you no longer need them, right-click the corresponding blocks and click unpin in the menu bar that appears at the bottom of the screen to remove them.
Add any application/file to the Metro Start Menu
The shortcut of the custom application can be displayed on the metro Start Screen, and other programs can be locked, this tool provides a simpler way to include arbitrary programs and even files (folders are not supported at the moment) than the built-in method ). Click browser to find the Startup file of the specified program, and then click Add to Start Menu.
